This dream would not have happened if it were not for my brother, Nick Thompson, who passed away on December 24, 2021.  While growing up, Nick loved to tease me about books, especially my fondness for alphabetizing them.  However, Nick enjoyed reading himself, often texting me titles of stories he thought I would like.  Nick’s unexpected passing caused Steve and I to take a hard look at how we wanted our lives to progress.  During the fall of 2022, a sequence of events began to unfold, perhaps through divine intervention, that enabled our dream to open a bookstore become a reality.  From the start of this adventure, I have felt my brother’s presence surrounding me giving me the courage to embark on a new life path.  Nick, this store is for you.  And whenever I am stocking shelves and putting books in alphabetical order, I will look up into the heavens and whisper thank you.
